Land Grading Continues...

Before the rains this week, things were moving along quickly with the project. Please be aware of blocked off sidewalks and entrances when you visit. We are excited to see the new planting and landscaping being in the coming month!! Stay tuned...

The Landscape is Changing

Work on the regrading of the grounds has been underway since mid-September.  It is expected to continue this month, with replanting to begin this fall.  The plan is to complete the new landscaping in the spring. PLEASE BE AWARE OF BLOCKED SIDEWALKS AND FOLLOW ALL SIGNS AND INSTRUCTIONS WHEN VISITING!

Heart Card Awards Program

Navonia Brim, CNA, received the most Heart Cards during 2012 and was awarded a $100 gift card to Walmart and a certificate for car service at Shore Tire & Auto in Onley. At the awards program 57 Hermitage employees received gifts for their Heart Cards.
The Heart Card program is based on the Hermitage core values: hospitality, excellence, attendance, resident care/services and teamwork. A Heart Card can be completed by anyone to recognize staff: directors, residents, family members, visitors, co-workers and volunteers. Each card must be signed, dated and give the reason the employee is being recognized.
The 2013 Heart Card program is underway through December.

Walk to End Alzheimer's Team Fundraisers

A bake sale was held in the Employee Dining Room. There will be another sale on Friday, Sept. 21.

Jewelry handmade by the residents and staff is currently for sale, with all proceeds to go to the team for the Walk to End Alzheimers on Sept. 29th.

Millie Mason Honored

Millie Mason was honored by the Hermitage Guild for her 17 years of untiring and dedicated service.
